Don Baker was in need of a major website overhaul and employed me to create a new Brand Identity, Style Guide and strategy to his website development with Zeald. I wireframed the structure of his website and pages and worked closely with Don to create a system he’d be able to really grow into as he built his clientele and offerings. Through the process he ended up not favoring Zeald’s CMS and instead decided to go with WordPress (a more common CMS platform). I worked with a copyist to help transition many of the elements we started working on with Zeald to implement the website he currently uses today. In the end, Don was very happy with changes made and his website, and he’s now reaching a steady influx of new clients each month.

I built this website for a recovery group based in Kingston, WA. This will be the group’s first ever web presence and it will provide the group lots of ways of providing resources for people in need. Prior to this website they had very little presence on the web and when Kingston Group is typed into Google it often takes local users to websites outside of the area. I took photos of the natural surroundings and helped the group with a layout that would provide important information right from the homepage. I utilized one of my favorite CMS platforms SquareSpace to build out this website and I created a sitemap that encompassed all the important features and information in a logical and intuitive way. The design goal was to go for a modern, clean aesthetic while conveying all the pertinent information. The website is projected to launch later this Summer 2021.

Dr. Robert Glover approached me to take the lead doing a massive upgrade to his website platform. He was very interested in turning his website into a robust eCommerce website utilizing Responsive Design practices and showcasing a modern/clean look that would capture new clients. I was in charge of developing a new Brand Identity, Style Guide, Wireframes and creating and implementing content throughout his site. We worked closely with Zeald (a company based out of New Zeland) that developed their own unique CMS platform system. Zeald’s system was very robust with lots of tools, and had unique ways of editing and creating website content. While the platform was intuitive and flexible, it still required a lot of tricks and twists to setup things properly. I took the lead to problem solve and go back and forth with developers and tech support to resolve numerous technical issues. I worked to ensure Robert’s website would be highly functional and adaptable through the years based on his unique services and needs. Robert was very pleased with the outcome of the website and still uses what we built to this day.
Wow! Catering
I was hired by Wow Catering to do many different administrative, service and design related jobs. One of the major projects I did for the company was develop the Brand Identity which became the hallmark statement of the company and professionalism it prided itself upon. After a few years of business it became clear that a website would be beneficial for the clients to see menus for future orders and for prospective clients to get to know the company. There was a vision also to create an automated system on the website for clients to order and book our team for events or repeat business. In the 4 years it was operational, Wow Catering well surpassed its annual revenue year after year. The Brand and Website are no longer used since the business closed, but it is still talked about and revered by the many long lasting client relationships.
